He keeps hold of Emet-Selch even as his legs relax into the bed and his whole body seems to melt into the sheets. He could probably sleep like this, even with his friend still inside him. He brushes Hades' hair from his face, kissing the top of his head and humming contentedly.
"You are... amazing, my friend." There's nothing but affection in his words, and he rubs at the man's back fondly. He's so full of love for him he could burst, and the synchrony will out him fairly quickly while his defences are down.
"Not sure in what way, but I try my best. I'll take the compliment all the same."
Emet-Selch turns his head as his weight shifts to his forearm now braced against the mattress. He isn't ready to move away quite yet but this allows him to lean up more, to nestle his face into Hythlodaeus' neck and plant soft kisses as the fingers of his free hand trace along its other side. He isn't wanting to give up the closeness yet, not when the synchrony is still flowing strong and with the blanket of warmth it leaves in his chest.
"We should probably talk about this at some point. The two synchronous elephants in the room, so to speak. Maybe not right now. Or we can keep ignoring it, that is fine too."
He is well aware they are both doing it. Every time they are in the throes and the inhibitions are gone it becomes incredibly overwhelming. There are simply many repressed feelings there, on both ends. And while they don't necessarily have to talk about it, they should at least take this moment to acknowledge it exists.
Every way, he might have said. He could have gone on for hours. But then Emet-Selch mentions the bigger issue here and he smiles almost sheepishly. The one thing he could never tell his friend, laid bare... how terribly embarrassing. And possibly convenient.
"Perhaps ignoring it would not be wise..." It's only going to get stronger now that they've gotten this far. He turns his head to kiss at Emet-Selch's cheek, offering a small sigh. "But I will leave when we talk about this to your discretion."
It could be now. It could be later. He's... quite happy to talk about it, oddly. Perhaps 12000 years of pining simply wore him down in that sense.
Whatever way they handle it, Emet-Selch is certain it's not really the type of conversation you can seriously have with a person when you are quite literally, still inside them. With a small sigh he untangles himself, pulling away slowly and rolling on to his back, as a hand weaves magic to produce a small towel to clean up with.
They should probably talk about it now, while it's out in the open and painfully obvious. But on the other hand, perhaps it would be easier to explain using words first, when the Synchrony is not interfering? Then again there's a good chance they just ignore it again until the next time they end up naked. But- it is the middle of the night, and that conversation may become lengthy.
He rolls on his side to face his friend as he finally makes up his mind, letting an arm drape over his chest.
"Tomorrow.. for now I'm content to simply enjoy it."
