[ She's trying not to laugh too loudly but there is a giggle. Still, his question makes her sober up. ]

Did you hear about Aurora Nyx? There was some chaos of a similar note the turn of the year prior, when Malachite slumbered. And the riots recently are making me think there's going to be more to come... please be on your guard, aye?

I heard. I don't understand what we are meant to do about it though, or why it even matters.

[He has a feeling that Megumi is going to fill him in on that, though. Obviously she is concerned by something.]

There's no need to worry about us. The three of us are always diligent. Even here.

Nothing we can do, unfortunately. But... It's a bit too much like something we saw, the year prior. 'twas not unlike the visions of the skies afire. We were given a boon, that triggered that vision... and soon after, everyone transformed, and the godling Malachite was reborn anew.

This won't be something that goes unanswered... not this easily. Perhaps I could be wrong, and I hope I am. But with all the chaos occurring, I don't-

[ She hesitates. ]

I don't want anything to happen to any of you.

Well that sounds like no fun at all.

[But incredibly concerning. It is already known the young god is temperamental, but for something so chaotic to happen here? Up until now, the tricks had simply been annoying.]

As long as they stay only visions or something equally superficial, that can be handled. Though I appreciate the concern anyhow.

[And he isn't sure if she knows or not that he has houseguests now. Probably, knowing his friends, but he will state it all the same.]

Both Hythlodaeus and Azem live here now, so I shall pass on your regards to them.

Aye, I'm aware. I'd imagined you'd be living together proper- Hythlodaeus isn't one to keep any loved ones apart, after all.

[ And he would make sure all his dearest friends would be together, wouldn't he? She sounds so fond about it. ]

Though... have you run into Hermes, and Fandaniel, yet?

We are. Oh, and we have another guest, so use the actual door if you intend to visit.

[What guest? He will not say. Especially when the mention of Hermes and Fandaniel changes the tone of the conversation.]

I am aware they are here. And yes I've run into them. Let's just leave it as that for now.

[Things are Complicated and have not been addressed yet.]

More guests than the two with you already? Well, then. Here I thought you'd be attempting to keep from crowding, but I'm assuming this means you'll be looking for a bigger place?


[ Yes, this does mean she's letting the subject of Fandaniel and Hermes drop for a moment. ]

That is the plan, considering this current living arrangement is far to small for so many of us, and I shall never hear the end of it if I decide to kick them all out.

[Not that he would ever do that. But they certainly all need their own space, as well as space for stuff if this is to be their home now.]

Likely I will purchase some land and go from there, but that is an issue for another time when- one moment. [Muffled yelling can be heard for a moment as well as weird squawking, seems as though the bairn and the shoebill are provoking each other and Emet-Selch is trying to intervene.]

Anyway as I was saying- a problem which needs working on over the coming weeks.

You wouldn't, though. Not when they're dear friends.

[ Fondly. Don't even pretend, Emet-Selch. But she does giggle a bit at the sounds, before she shakes her head. ]

Hythlodaeus brought the Bairn created by you and him over to my place. They were playing quite well, together- with the ones I had with you both. But I suppose 'tis best they spend more time with you until it is time to depart... you'll miss them once they leave.

[Of course he wouldn't, but how dare you call him out on the very obvious fact. He simply huffs in response.]

Does this sort of thing happen often, then? The bairns, I mean. [Honestly he isn't sure how to feel about them- they're annoying, so annoying, but endearing in their own way.]

I suppose I should stop by and see the others, seeing as I need to come retrieve ours anyway. Have they been behaving themselves? [Probably not, considering all the parents involved..]

[ She is just Feeling Affectionate™ Perhaps being around the Bairns does it. ]

Actually, 'tis not very common. It happened once the year prior, but they were plant-like. I've been told this is an anomaly, of sorts.... though they're mischievous, but nothing I can't handle.

When can I expect you? Gaius is handling the Emporium while I look after them, so you can come by whenever you please.

[Them being rare but showing up twice honestly does not sound good, simply due to the unknown. A conversation they can continue in person, though.]

I shall make my way now. Expect me.

[And true to his word he does show up at the door a mere minute later. It's easy to get around when you have the manna to teleport yourself.]

[ So she does, already at the door since she's at the porch, watching the Bairns play around the garden under an awning and fountains. When Emet-Selch appears, she gives him a little wave. ]

They've been running around chasing each other and trying to tackle one another.

[ Her Bairn with Hythlodaeus, and the one with herself and Emet-Selch are also being adorable. The purple-haired one with blue eyes is just bouncing happily behind the one with Emet's eyebrows and eyes and seemingly singing.

The one she has with Gaius is just running around by the flowerbeds. ]

My, you came all that way with a teleport? How are you feeling? That used to drain people so easily.

[He simply waves off the question, stepping in to take a better look at all the bairns.]

This realm sought to deplete me of my aether, or Manna as it is now. I simply decided to begin restoring it. Such an act is simple for one such as myself.

[Yes, 'restoring manna' is pretty much what he has been spending his time doing. No he will not be taking further questions on it.]

You have quite the collection here. Are they all accounted for?

[menphina]

I see.

[ She looks so smug hearing that, but, she steps up next to him, carrying a fourth one with very sharp silvery-gray eyes- one who resembles Yotsuyu, and she lets her down to stroll off next to her sister, the one she made with Gaius. ]

They're accounted for. You ought to have brought the one you made with Hythlodaeus- they were playing well with their siblings here.

[ She smiles and beckons to the one that's a mix of herself and Hades, and the one with Hythlodaeus- both of who have cat-eared little shapes over their heads. The Hades-baby just grumps a bit and squeaks while folding its "arms", while the Hyth-baby beams up at Emet with happy chirps. ]

Oh, look at that. They love you.

[sasscian]

I can go home and fetch it if you wish to let it run around.

[Emet-Selch shrugs, it isn't a big deal either way. Perhaps the little beastie would use up some of that pent up energy and tire itself out. Of course then the little group of bairns descend upon him and he takes a step back, even slightly shocked that they all seem to want attention from him.]

So many.. I cannot think of a worse arrangement..

You're going to drain yourself quickly if you teleport that much, you know. But 'tis not as though I can't help you recover when you return. Feel free to bring it over, and they'll be fine here.

[ She remembers Elidibus saying they took the most energy. But she chuckles as the Bairns squeak and talk among themselves. The Emetgumi Bairn just makes the same expression Emet-Selch does. ]

Would you like a snack, when you return?

Who do you take me for? Such a simple spell shall not tire me out that easily.

[Okay it does tire him out- but he has the reserves to manage one or two more before it will become too much.]

I shall return. If you make food, I won't turn it down.

[And off he goes with a snap. To return later with another bairn in hand, so that they may play together.]
